Delete branch "fix/mask-bootc-autoupdate"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
The enabled auto-updater applied a PRESTAGED deployment mid-roll (sf38, a40389, Initiated-by-bootc). Masked; kreboot is the sole reboot authority. Rides the sf39 bake.
The image shipped bootc's auto-updater timer enabled. Digest-pinned refs keep it inert day to day, but a STAGED deployment is exactly what it exists to apply: during the sf38 roll (2026-08-18) the timer fired 25 minutes after the fleet-wide prestage and cleanly rebooted a40389 ("Initiated by bootc") outside any roll leg -- stalling the green gate ~31 minutes and false-failing the node's own later leg. Reboots belong to pipeline-deploy-kernel's kreboot, exclusively. Masks the timer and its service; rides the next kernel bake.142cbfdcf63d2fef7489Pull request closed
