Simplify sentence structure and word choice in bytey's docs to
ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English: short single-idea sentences,
active voice, no semicolons or dashes joining clauses, no slash-joined
alternatives. No technical facts, versions, dates, commands, or flags
changed.

Add the ASD-STE100 directive to a new AGENTS.md (none existed before).

bytey.c has no explanatory comment blocks, so it is unchanged.
